I bought this tv about 3 weeks ago from OneCall, which was an excellent seller and the delivery was fast, easy, and reliable. They definitely put the customer in customer service.
All i can say about this TV is WOW!!! Me and my wife are still in awe of the picture quality and sometimes watch a show or movie in HD just because the picture looks phenomenal. I was originally looking to buy the xbr9 vs samsung led because of the affordable price. Suprisingly my wife supported me to spend the extra 600 bucks since we plan on keeping the tv for many years to come. I felt guilty about spending 2 grand on a television until i set it up within minutes of receiving it and saw the picture. It’s as if I’m watching the action outside my window. The color richness, especially the black level is awesome. I actually bought this TV blind as none of my local electronic stores had it in stock. They only had the Samsung LED, but after having a 26″samsung hdtv for the past 5 years i knew that a reflective screen on a 46″ screen was going to drive me nuts. I based my purchase on the reviews on cnet and amazon.com. You will not regret this purchase. The picture quality compared to the samsung led is much more crisp, clean and vibrant. The bright lighting in my room no longer bothers me, thanks to the matte screen.
Many reviewers have slammed the quality of the speakers, but since i haven’t owned a surround system and all my friends and family listen through the tv speakers, my ears are geared towards the stand alone tv speakers. The quality is the best by far compared to different models of Sharp and Sumsung lcd. I’m more than content with these speakers and will not need the bose 2.1 speaker system i was looking at, although it would be an upgrade, but definitely not a necessity like other televisions. Even standard television looks great on this set. I think i’ve fallen in love all over again. Spend the extra money because the technology with this picture quality is still more advanced than almost all the led sets out there and will satisfy you for years to come.

2009 HDTV Basic HDTV Buying Tips to save money and avoid the mistakes that people make

Posted on : 08-02-2010 | By : LED HDTV | In : Article

The difference between HDTV and regular TV day and night, as the difference between white and black. HDTV viewing experience is amazing. Due to upcoming changes Act 2009 Digital devastates analog television, many people buy HDTV now for the first time. Here are some basic tips for anyone buying that HDTV will help you avoid errors and save important purchase, use this as a rough guide. These are my opinionsOnly you can do with what you want.

HDTV Buying Tips:

1. Not all sets are high definition digital television. Make sure you buy an HDTV.

2 .. The area size of the display screen HDTV big screen is smaller then the screen to watch a normal TV. Is intended for a widescreen 16:9 display a picture for HDTV broadcasts, while regular 4:3 TV not to broadcast HDTV. As such the listening area for say a 26 "wideHDTV screen is much smaller then a 26 "normal TV, so if you want the equivalent area of view, you need to buy something like a 32" HDTV big screen. In short, if you buy a widescreen HDTV, remember that for the equivalent of viewing for standard TV, your HDTV should be higher.

2. Do not buy an HDTV, which is not full screen. All HDTV broadcasts are the designation of a wide aspect ratio of 16:9 andnot be properly displayed on a non-HDTV widescreen.

3. Try to buy an HDTV with a resolution of 1080 instead of 720. 1080 provides a better image.

4. Those who use or intend to use cable or satellite, you can save the purchase of an HD Readyset instead of an HD set with built in HD tuner. This simply means that, through the TV HD Ready, receive the broadcast in high definition directly to the material it receives in its cable and satellite.

5. You Needactual HD service from your cable or satellite company to actually see HDTV. The price is relatively low. If you do not pay for this service, the definition of the images are not high.

6. If you get a DVR or TIVO to make sure that this is an HD or HD DVR or TIVO will not see what you recorded in HD. You need an HDTV to watch the playback of HD from a HD DVR or HD Tivo.

7. I want to buy an extended warranty only for the security of knowing that if something went wrong withHDTV, at least you have the security of knowing that you will be able to repair or repair immediately. For me, the cost was worth what I paid for the security of knowing that I had my HDTV for years to come.

8. If you go to a chain of shops and warehouses, many pictures you can see on TV sets on display, may not be broadcast in high definition real. Call the store in advance or go to a store specializing in HDTV in which we know see HDTV broadcasts.

9. Overall, it is always better the experience of a clerk in a store specializing in HDTV and then a chain of stores. This does not mean that there are uninformed sellers in stores in the chain, but it is likely that you will find the more demanding they do this for a career. I always ask a seller who had been with the store more.

10. If you have a home theater system, the sound of a> Set its HDTV built-in speakers is not important. It actually receive the sound through your home theater system from the supplier of cable TV or satellite.

11. If you have money, I personally recommend you spend $ 50 or more money to buy component cables for quality rather than using the free component cables supplied by your cable company or satellite to connect your HDTV probably have a better image.
